Mesotherapy for a clear, fresh, radiant skin

The “non-surgical facelift”, mesotherapy, makes sagging and tired skin glow again and has a rejuvenating effect like a facelift, completely without incisions. Among other things, hyaluronic acid and vitamins are injected into the skin, with simultaneous medical needling.

In brief

Mesotherapy is a non-surgical treatment method used to improve skin quality and alleviate various dermatological problems. This technique involves injecting small amounts of special active ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids and hyaluronic acid directly into the middle layer of the skin, known as the mesodermis.

These injections are customized based on their targeted effect on the skin problems. Mesotherapy can be used to treat skin ageing, acne, pigmentation disorders, cellulite and hair loss. By stimulating collagen production and local blood circulation, mesotherapy helps to regenerate and revitalize the skin, promoting a radiant and healthy complexion

Who is it suitable for?

Mesotherapy is generally suitable for people who want to improve the quality of their skin or treat dermatological problems. Specifically, mesotherapy may be suitable for the following people:

  1. People with signs of ageing, such as fine lines and wrinkles, who wish to improve the appearance of their skin.
People with acne or acne scars who are looking for a treatment to improve the condition of their skin.
  2. People with pigmentation disorders or hyperpigmentation who are looking to lighten or even out skin tone.
  3. People with hair loss or thinning hair who are looking to strengthen hair follicles and promote hair growth.
  4. Individuals who prefer a natural and non-surgical method of skin enhancement and want to avoid potential risks and downtime.
However, it is important to note that suitability for mesotherapy depends on individual factors such as skin type, medical history and specific skin goals. A thorough consultation with an experienced dermatologist or specialist is therefore crucial to determine whether mesotherapy is the right treatment option.

Who is it not suitable for?

Mesotherapy is a versatile treatment method for skin improvement, but it is not suitable for everyone. People with serious medical conditions, active skin infections, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, certain allergies or open wounds should seek medical advice before treatment. A thorough medical examination and consultation are crucial to ensure that mesotherapy is safe and suitable for the individual patient.

When is the best time?

The best time for mesotherapy depends on individual skin goals and needs. In general, mesotherapy can be performed all year round. However, some people prefer treatment during the colder months as sun exposure is lower during this time and the skin is less sensitive to sunlight. This reduces the risk of skin irritation or pigmentation disorders after treatment. It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight and intense sun exposure in the days immediately following mesotherapy to protect the skin and achieve optimal results. Ultimately, the best timing for mesotherapy should be determined in consultation with an experienced dermatologist or specialist who can take into account the patient’s individual needs and circumstances.

How does mesotherapy work technically?

Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure for skin improvement in which special active ingredients such as vitamins and hyaluronic acid are injected into the skin using fine needles. Before the treatment, a thorough consultation and examination is carried out to determine the individual skin requirements. The injections are placed in the middle layer of the skin, the mesodermis, and can help to treat various skin problems such as skin ageing, acne, pigmentation disorders or hair loss. The treatment is generally well tolerated and requires little downtime, with optimal results being achieved with a series of sessions.

A distinction is made between the following treatment concepts:

  1. Pure microneedling without the addition of solutions. This “pure” variant of mesotherapy is suitable for scars, stretch marks or minimally coarse pores.
  2. Mesotherapy with PRP. The body’s own substance PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is used for mild to moderate skin quality. It provides moisture and gives a slight glow effect for a few weeks.
  3. Mesotherapy with diluted hyaluronic acid. This combination provides significantly more moisture and clearer skin thanks to the hyaluronic acid.
  4. Meso cocktail. This “cocktail” contains a mixture of the body’s own fat (nanofat) for long-lasting improvement in skin quality, botulinum toxin to close the apocrine sweat glands and hyaluronic acid for more moisture. This combination is suitable for more severe skin changes and dark circles under the eyes.

What type of anesthesia is required?

A skin anesthetic ointment is sufficient for mesotherapy. This is applied, covered with cling film, for 30-40 minutes before the treatment begins. If additional fat removal is required for a meso cocktail, this is carried out painlessly under local anesthesia.

Can the treatment be combined with other treatments?

We often combine mesotherapy with a botulinum toxin treatment.

Is this treatment carried out on the same day as the consultation or separately?

Mesotherapy is a non-invasive method and treatment on the same day is possible. Please allow sufficient time for this. A separate appointment is necessary for an additional treatment with autologous fat.

Risks and complications

Mesotherapy is a cosmetic treatment with virtually no complications. Nevertheless, there may be minimal temporary complications. If you have allergies or cannot tolerate certain substances such as fillers or botulinum toxin, please let us know.

Minor complications

Temporary redness or slight swelling that lasts a few days can occur in very sensitive skin. This is not usually a permanent condition. Cooling ointments or liquids will quickly provide relief.

Rare medium-sized complications

If slight scratch marks occur during the treatment due to the needlesticks inserted, these are more likely to be superficial wounds. These usually heal by themselves and do not need to be treated.

What to do in the event of complications?

If, contrary to expectations, complications occur, we will not leave you to deal with them alone. After treatment, you will be given an emergency number where you can reach us 24 hours a day. During the routine check-ups following the treatment, we will discuss the progress and the next steps with you in detail.

Healing and progression

As soon as patients have decided to undergo treatment, the anticipation of the result is great. However, depending on the procedure, there is a long way to go. You will need to be patient until the final result is achieved. If you know what to expect before your planned mesotherapy, this path will be easier.

How long does the treatment take?

Mesotherapy is a more cosmetic treatment that gives the skin more freshness and a radiant glow. Although the penetration of the fine needles causes micro-injuries that the body has to heal on its own, this process is extremely fast. You will be able to resume your social activities after just 1-2 days, as the recovery time is extremely short. You can also expect a comparatively short healing phase with nanofat treatments, so that you can quickly resume your normal everyday life.”

Is the treatment painful?

No, your skin is anaesthetized with a special ointment during the treatment. You will only feel the pressure of the devices applied. If you find this mild pressure uncomfortable, simply let us know

When can the final result be expected?

You will see the results of PRP or needling treatments shortly after the treatment. A little patience is required for the treatment of dark circles under the eyes. After approx. 6-8 months, the connective tissue structures will have settled and the skin will be visibly thicker.

How much does mesotherapy cost?

Mesotherapy starts at €200 for simple needling treatments and goes up to €1500 for combination procedures such as the meso cocktail.
